In addition to both sales associate and broker post licensing courses, every licensee, whether active or inactive, is required to take 14 hours of continuing education every two years, as well as a 3-hr. core law class that is usually taught at the local Board of REALTORS®.
It is extremely important for licensees to complete their continuing education because if not, in addition to possible fines and late fees, the license becomes involuntarily inactive. During that inactive period, the licensee may not practice real estate.
*SPECIAL NOTE FOR FORMER & CURRENT STUDENTS: The easiest way to accomplish the 14-Hr. continuing education requirement is to utilize TEAM Hughes Real Estate because we do not charge tuition for the course. We only ask that the student pay for the book. The student then reads the manual, completes an open -book exam, and then submits the answer sheet to TEAM Hughes and we will submit the results to the State. This free service is offered all former students of ours and is just another way TEAM Hughes Real Estate School helps a member of its TEAM!
